CONFIGURE YOUR GLO SIM FOR INTERNET

GLO SIM CONFIGURATION FOR BROWSING ON ANDROID AND OTHER PHONES.

Should in case the free 16MB given to you is not working on your phone. That is, if you have never used your Glo line to browse before then you should send “internet” to “1010”. When you do this, you will get a response which sends the internet settings to your phone. Follow the instruction and your phone be set up or browsing. Once this is done, you can start enjoying the free 16MB given to you.

Alternatively you can manually set up internet on your phone by going through the following steps:

1.      Go to setting.

2. Then CONNECTIONS/WIRELESS AND NETWORKS/DESTINATIONS/CONNECTION SETTINGS.

3.      Select MOBILE NETWORKS

4.      Select ACCESS POINT NAMES

5.      Select DESTINATIONS

6.      Press OPTIONS then select ADD NEW APN/NEW ACCESS POINT

7.      The following parameters are to be used (ignore all other prompts to leave them blank):

·         Item Parameter

·         Name Glo Mobile Internet

·         Access point Name (APN) gloflat

·         Username flat

·         Password flat

·         Homepage http://his.glo.com

·         Authentication Type Normal or PAP or CHAP or PAP+CHAP (parameter

·         Varies depending on the type of device

8.      Press MENU/OPTIONS AND select SAVE SETTINGS/CHANGES.
